PES 2012 tip: The right position to the ball
How can you execute the perfect header? How do you trigger a bicycle kick? This article gives you the answers to these questions.
The player’s position to the ball, his direction, and the height of the ball are the determining factors.
The height of the ball in relation to the player’s body
Of course, it also matters whether the player is marked or his movements are – according to the rules – restricted by the opposite defender.
Therefore, how your player handles the ball depends on whether he…
a) faces the goal,

b) faces away from the goal,

c) is situated parallel to the goal or

d) runs towards the goal.

For these situations, we have created illustrations that explain how your player can get the ball into the opponent’s goal. The height of the ball in relation to the player’s body is also a determining factor.
How to get your player into position
Use the right stick to choose a player, and with a little bit of luck and the necessary experience you can get him into the right position. This often succeeds when the ball has been in the air for some time, e.g. after early crosses, long free kicks and high corners.
Besides that, it is advisable as an attacker to use the ball while running if it has been played into the opponent’s penalty area from the sides, for example. The momentum of a header, volley, or shot gives you more power and makes the ball harder to catch.
Last but not least, timing is important, too. If you press the button at the right moment – which is just a matter of practice –, the ball ends in the goal more often.
And as we have mentioned before: The four illustrations show you how to trigger each shot with different positions of the ball to the player’s body in conjunction with his position towards the goal.
We wish you lots of fun and success!
